Women dating an androgynous man
guys with both a "straight" and "gay" side Going on meagerish anecdotal evidence, #2 is going to be the most likely to be attracted to androgynous people. For #1, they likely looking for a more "typical" sample to experiment with. I'm bi, and I know a lot of other bi people (and gay people) and in my experience, it's all over the map. Please register to participate in our discussions with 2 million other members - it's free and quick! Some forums can only be seen by registered members. For #1, they likely looking for a more "typical" sample to experiment with. I can agree with this as more the #3 type you describe.I'm bi leaning toward straight, and I like girly girls and (when in the mood) manly men.At least you can distinguish the two (unlike those who will automatically say 'not all xx are like xx...' well duh, of course I know not ALL of them, but generalities and tendencies do exist too).
In the beginning of the fall semester, I struck up a conversation with a person named Will in my class who recognized the logo on my shirt.
He seemed really into androgynous people in general (he liked butch girls and femmy guys). Problem with this is that an IMHO thread asking this question gets a bunch of personal anecdotes, which is what it attracted.
But I don't know if he's representative of anything. What I was hoping for was some actual evidence/studies, which is why I tried GQ.
I have an affinity towards feminine men and masculine women, in terms of being able to notice them and find them interesting (not necessarily for romance). If a womanly woman or a manly man were to look better than the androgyne, I'd definitely go for whoever is better looking.
Of course there are exceptions, but I'd have to say that, yeah, generally speaking, andro-looking people are indeed attracted to other andros.
